"The Imperfectly Perfect Flat Tire"
Conquering Freedom
"The imperfectly perfect Flat Tire"
So finally my tire blew out and I could not have been more amazed at the timing. I had been riding around on BAD tires for months, the same tires since I purchased my car 3 years ago. I figured that maybe I would get new tires when I got around to it but anything that cost money I try to ride it out. Nevertheless, I had not paid attention to the signs my tires were going like my car pulling left with a brand new alignment or hydroplaning in the rain. So no big deal - I will do it when I get ready. Plus, tires cost way too much and they looked great on the outside. Coincidence? A lot of things look great on the outside but on the inside are all torn up.
It wasn't until I traveled back to North Carolina two weekends ago that I realized that maybe I was cutting it too close. I made it home and decided to take a closer look at my tires. I felt around the rim and I cut myself. These nice silver wires in the tread had cut me then I wondered if I would make it back to Atlanta. I'm thinking ohh shi...maybe not safe.
So I made back to Atlanta ok then I got serious - so I researched tires. Earlier in the week I had set this as one of my SMART goals and with the help of my circle of influence I found a really good deal. Still I was going to time it the way I wanted and get them when I wanted but then...my tire blew out completely early on Saturday morning. Not the timing I wanted - Coincidence? Nahh
The funny thing is I was heading to my Saturday fun run - I got on the interstate again. I made it my destination and I completed my run. Shortly afterward, I backed out and my front left tire deflated quickly. Of all odds not on any major roads or interstates in Atlanta which is rare.
So I begin changing my tire and I did it all wrong. I jacked up the car without loosing the bolts and I had not realized it until a fellow fun funner stopped me to help.
He said: "Hey did you loosen those bolts first?"
I said: "Nope."
He said: " Let me help. Put the car back down loosen the bolts and jack the car back up"
I'm thinking: Damn that's a lot of work turning this thing manually, sooo take it down THEN back up again???
Long story short - T helped me get the spare on. Then I went immediately to the tire shop.
The magic in this moment was that 1st - I was in a safe place and I was in a place surrounded by powerful people, great energy which I believe made a difference. T showed up to help me out of no where and we got the tire changed. Interestingly, I'm always on the interstate, you have to be in Atlanta but the universe had it so that I was not this time when my tire blew out. Instead I was surrounding by loving people. 2nd - its funny how my tire held out until I got to the fun run - something I look forward to each week. I had such a powerful run and this energy carried over into my experience. 3rd - my relationship to this whole this was powerful because I held on to my power and did not get upset. I made the decision to wait this out. I made the decision to not get tires when I was told and so I am responsible the experience. Although I did not listen to the signs I still had an outcome that was desirable. I'm safe.
So just maybe my level of consciousness is beginning to rise a little and I am vibrating at greater levels. What I learned is that you can co create with the universe your script and outcomes and it starts with perspective, a powerful attitude and identifying the magic in perfectly imperfect moments like this. Magic is everywhere.
Be well,
Vic
